Always "UNDER CONSTRUCTION"

May 8, 2019 Lionel has released the 6-84373, "Trolley Announcement Track". I planned on adding one section, instead I added three. This is a really nice accessory offering up to three 15 second custom recorded messages.

It's Friday... My son came home for the holiday weekend. What is the first thing he wants to do? Run trains. Or should I say run a train. He took every piece of rolling stock that was on the layout and assembled a consist of 56 freight cars complete with a box car of mooing cows. Enjoy the 2.5 minute video being pulled by two FT diesels.

56-Car Freight Train |
Fall Update All 42 switches and 21 block sidings are powered and working. Over 24 operating accessories are wired to perimeter switch panels allowing visitors to control them. The entire trackage is controlled via a 12" touchpanel. Current train control is either conventional or Legacy.

Summer What a joy it is to be able to run trains again. As you can see by the below picture, all of the track is laid and the accessories are in place. The under-the-table phase or electrical wiring is in progress. Layout supports both conventional and Legacy products. Layout has two main lines, twenty-one sidings and 42 TMCC switches. It is our goal to have a layout that is "touch panel control" using a combination of products from Lionel and others. A dream come true. Only one minor problem, the layout is still too small...

Time to lay FasTrack |

2009 In the fall of 2009, we expanded the store area for the Lionel trains. With that came a new 12' x 16' "L" shaped store layout using Lionel FasTrack™. The double main track layout is complimented with twenty six remote switches, sixteen operating track sections, multiple reversing loops, a passing siding and a 5-track yard area. Layout can be controlled via conventional power or TMCC. Track power, remote switches and operating track are controlled via a 12" touch panel.
2013 After four years of enjoying the above layout, it was retired. Under construction is a new 20' x 16' "G" shaped layout. It is our continuing goal to improve and incorporate newer accessories and technology, yet provide a simple 2-way interactivity for the public and our train customers.
2014 The year is more than half gone. With the help of my son, the top is on. The ground covering is next, followed by track and trim.
2015 The layout is up and running. Trackage, including the 21 sidings and 42 switches are all controlled by a third party 12" touch panel. My dream has became a reality! She features over twentyfour operating accessories being operating by custom built panels available to the visitors of Wabash Junction.
